- CROS is een commissie zoals bedoeld in art 8.34 van de Wet luchtvaart. Het is geen gemeenschappelijke regeling. Art II lid 1 van de Wijzigingsregeling Regeling CROS (transitie Omgevingsraad Schiphol, https://wetten.overheid.nl/BWBR0035798/2014-11-26) stelt: "Vanaf het tijdstip van inwerkingtreding van deze regeling wordt de rol van de commissie regionaal overleg luchthaven Schiphol bedoeld in artikel 8.34 van de Wet luchtvaart vervuld door de Omgevingsraad Schiphol."
